Niko Kranjcar Kisses Harry Redknapp's Ring, Pledges Undying Love To Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Niko Kranjcar has had a rough 2011-12 season. He featured for the club early in the season during the first two losses to Manchester City and Manchester United, but since then he has been limited by injury to only 8 additional appearances.

There have been rumors that Kranjcar, who was the subject of transfer speculation over the summer, may be seeking a move away from White Hart Lane in search of more first-team football. However, Niko himself has come out and quashed those rumors saying, "I still believe my future is here. I know the next few months I want to stay, get in shape and hopefully have a good Euro 2012. The club have been great with me since I came."

As long as Kranjcar is happy with his role I am more than happy to keep him around. He provides adequate cover for multiple positions and is capable of providing moments of magic and late goals. In Tottenham's recent FA Cup fixture Kranjcar looked good in midfield, pulling the strings against League 2 side Cheltenham Town.

Had Kranjcar wanted to leave he certainly would have been hard to replace. I have no doubt that he, like fellow Croatian Vedran Corluka will eventually go off in search of more consistent first-team football, but for now Spurs can be thankful that Cousin Niko will be sticking around just a little bit longer.
