A hat-trick from Christian Ceballos helped Spurs on their way to a dominant win over the Southampton youth side on Monday in a game which also saw debuts handed to centre-back Thomas Gardiner and Victor Zapata-Caicedo.
The winger's sixth minute goal set the tone for a game which saw the Tottenham side close out both halves as the better side. Jonathan Obika doubled the side's lead minutes later on the rebound from a Iago Falque which hit the crossbar. Ceballos added to his tally in the 55th minute before Falque boosted his own contribution to the score further with an assist which left the Spanish prospect with a tap-in in the 62nd minute.
Lawrence Vigoroux reportedly had a decent game in goal, denying a couple of Saints chances towards the close of the game before Calum Chambers nabbed a consolation goal for the home side. Zapata-Caicedo also threatened the opposition keeper a few times, while Grant Hall also came close to adding to the scoreline. Ultimately, however, the result was defined by the efforts of the team's Spanish contingent, and will go down as a superb individual result for both Ceballos and Falque.
