Happy Wednesday, Spursland! Hey guys, want to make literally anybody you meet on the street today begin to yell? It is easy just ask them, "So, did you see that debate last night?" Then you just sit back and laugh and laugh.

And now the "news"

MK Dons Rule Out Bentley Move - Sky Sports

When the great chefs of the world wish to evaluate young talent they typically say to a young cook one of two things: 1) make me a soup; or 2) cook me some eggs. These are two very simple things that demonstrate who has "it" and who does not, despite how simple the task before them seems. I think there is a similar way of evaluating how good a front office in football is. You ask whoever is in charge, "Would you sign David Bentley?" You either get it right or you get it wrong.

Bale Is In Ronaldo And Messi's Class Says Redknapp - BBC

This was posted by an unnamed, intrepid commenter yesterday, but I felt compelled to post it here, because holy shit. Harry gonna Harry. Now his statement is ridiculous, but I may have an explanation. OK, due to the international drought over the summer, corn production has fallen off, in some places as much as 60-70 %. That means the price of corn is going way way up. Now because of this many ranchers and raisers of livestock are having a hard time affording the feed for their animals so they are sending more animals than usual to the slaughterhouse in an attempt to thin the herd and lower their feed corn expenditures. This has led to a glut in the market for things like pork. Check out your local butcher, prices are down almost a full dollar per pound there is such an excess of supply. Lower pork prices means BACON ON THE CHEAP and bacon on the cheap means Harry gets excited. Like really excited, because he can now put twice as much bacon on his sandwich. And maybe halfway through a bacon sandwich the size of Alec Baldwin's head Harry heard someone say Gareth Bale's name and he got all excited and shouted, "He is like just as good as Messi and stuff." At least that is the only explanation I can think of because anything that isn't as ridiculous as a bacon overdose induced hallucination just can't be true.

This result may not be indicative of Canada's ability, but they just had their Thanksgiving and you can't fault them for playing so poorly so soon after such a big meal.
