Things are looking good for Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs have a four-game winning streak in the league and the club's players are coming off a strong international break.
Spurs are sitting at 5th place (tied for fourth on points) in the table, but a visit from Chelsea threatens the team's position. awaits the team this Sunday. Chelsea are off to a blazing start in the league, only dropping points in one draw. The team has been led by a well-balanced attack, with Mata, Eden Hazard, and Frank Lampard setting the table for Fernando Torres. The defense has been strong as well, with a steady unit that has allowed just four goals so far this season.
As for the prediction league, Mechanick and Ed dropped off perfect predictions, while everyone else predicted a victory. The rules remain the same in the Prediction League--one point for a correct prediction, a bonus point for getting the score correct. Here are the current standings:
Name | Score |
Ashlock | 6 |
Petrilli | 5 |
The Roosevelts | 4 |
Mechanick | 4 |
Kevin | 3 |
Ryan | 3 |
Ed | 3 |
Uncle Menno | 2 |
This week's predictions:
Kevin: Chelsea scores in the first half and sits on the ball for the rest of the game. 1-0 Chelsea
Mechanick: Two teams in blazing form. A huge derby. A huge disappointment. 0-0 Draw
Ryan: AVB has the boys come out of the gates firing and we go in front 2-0, but we let down late as Chelsea grabs control and have to settle for a disappointing 2-2 Draw.
Ashlock: At White Hart Lane I think we have a fighting chance. Chelsea don't have Drogba anymore, so Spurs will get something out of this. 1-1 Draw
The Roosevelts: The revenge of Andy Town Snakes, 3-0 Spurs win... I've been drinking... From the keg of glory, bring me the finest muffins and bagels in all the land.
Ed: I can't really bear to predict anything else, 1-1 Draw.
Petrilli: Spurs break into the Top 4, Chelsea's midfield is exposed, Spurs 2-1.
Uncle Menno: I'm predicting an Adebayor start, lots of goals, and a nervy finish. 3-2 Spurs.
