Yeah, so Tottenham Hotspur just beat Manchester United last weekend. In Old Trafford. Breaking a 23 year streak. So things are pretty good around Tottenham Hotspur. Yesterday's disappointing draw to Panathinaikos aside, all looks strong with Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs are sitting at 5th place in the table, but a visit from Aston Villa awaits the team this Sunday. Villa is off to a slow start with just five points through their first six games. Villa have been very inconsistent this season, posting impressive wins over Swansea and Manchester City (in the Capital One Cup) yet posting terrible losses against the likes of Southampton.

As for the prediction league, Petrilli kept rising with his correct prediction of a win over Manchester United, while everyone else except Mechanick predicted a loss. The rules remain the same in the Prediction League--one point for a correct prediction, a bonus point for getting the score correct. Here are the current standings:

Name Score
Ashlock 5
Petrilli 4
The Roosevelts 3
Mechanick 2
Kevin 2
Ryan 2
Ed 1
Uncle Menno 1

This week's predictions:

Kevin: Darren Bent opens the scoring, and for that, he will pay. 4-1 Spurs

Mechanick: Villa is crap on the road. Tottenham just beat Manchester United in Old Trafford. 2-0 Spurs

Ryan: To beat United and then lose this weekend would be so Spurs. BUT I BELIEVE. 2-1 Tottenham.

Ashlock: We looked flat in midweek, but this is Aston Villa we're talking about. 1-0 Spurs

The Roosevelts: 2-1 Spurs win. Because there is no way we keep a clean sheet.

Ed: It's hard to form a cogent opinion when I both respect Paul Lambert and think this Villa side isn't worth one singular crap. I'm going to opt for 2-0 Spurs, one from JD, one from a mystery scorer.

Petrilli: Johnny Verts will be our leading scorer this season. Watch it happen. YOU CAN'T STOP BELGIAN THUNDER! Spurs 3-1

Uncle Menno: We've gotten past our post-United letdown game, and I'm betting on Ade to start. 2-1 Spurs, but Villa scores late because LOL.
