Another week, another saga in the Tottenham Hotspur season. After a near-collapse against Southampton almost cost Spurs three points, hope was that Andre Villas-Boas's side would learn their lesson. But they did not, as the squad blew a late lead against Norwich to get bounced out of the Capital One Cup.
In the way this week is a scrappy Wigan side. The Latics sit in the bottom third of the table, but have been able to put up some big results, including a home win over West Ham in their last Premier League match. The combo of Arouna Kone and Franco di Santo is proving a potent attacking combo, while manager Roberto Martinez continues his tactical machinations in defense.
As for the prediction league, Ed got the perfect prediction while all but Ashlock got a point, tightening up the table. . The rules remain the same in the Prediction League--one point for a correct prediction, a bonus point for getting the score correct. Here are the current standings:

This week's predictions:
Kevin: What even are sports? 3-2 Spurs, I guess.
Mechanick: Scrappy game, but a late Defoe goal wins it. 2-1 Spurs
Ryan: Spurs being Spurs will jump out to a 2-0 lead and look in complete control, but then give up a goal and PANICCCC! Still, Tottenham hold on to win. 2-1 Spurs
Ashlock: Wigan are bad. Tottenham Hotspur only play parts of matches. 1-0 Spurs
The Roosevelts: Spurs win in a very Spursy fashion. No word yet on the matter of who ate all the pies. 3-1 Spurs
Ed: We go two up as with Southampton last weekend and sit on the lead comfortably till half time. Then Wigan race out of the blocks in the second half, pull back two, and then score again to edge in front. JD nets a late, late equalizer, and we all go from fuming to numb. We've been here before. 3-3 Draw.
Petrilli: There's another no'easter coming. I need something good. Spurs 3-1
Uncle Menno: I hear Adebayor's going to start, and everyone knows Wigan is only good in the last month of the season. 3-1 Spurs.
