Happy Tuesday, Spursland! I had planed to comment on our fans use of the Y-word compared to other fan use of anti-Semitic chants against us today, but I couldn't do it. It is too much of a downer, too much of a cluster fuck really to delve into in such a small place. And I am also probably not the person to explore it, being barley literate and all. So instead, I give you an uplifting story of hope and girl power. This is something I think we can all get behind.
And now the "news"
Dawson Not Worried About Rumored QPR Move- Sky Sports
I may be alone here, but I think that sending Dawson off to bacon sandwich land is not a good idea. We have seen what injuries can do to our midfield thus far this season and I think the results would be far worse if the same happened to our defense. Gallas is old, Kaboul has issues staying on the field and that leaves Johnny Vertical, who we need as left back cover, and Caulker. That sounds rather thin to me.
West Ham Season Ticket Holder Banned For Nazi Salute- Telegraph
I don't know why, but I sort of didn't expect anything to come out of this. I guess just due to past experiences that this indecent would just sort of "go away".
Prospecting The SuperDraft- The Walking Red
MLS fans, be on the lookout for a lot of this type of coverage in the run up to the MLS SuperDraft. By the way, am I alone in thinking that calling it a "super" draft makes it seem like MLS is trying way too hard to pump itself up and seem like it is changing the global soccer landscape?
Swansea Display Represents Improvement For Rogers- Liverpool Offside
Just in case you want to brush up on what our mid week opponents have been doing.
