Tottenham Hotspur vs. NK Maribor: Lineups and match thread

Andre Villas-Boas is giving both of his center forwards a look in Tottenham Hotspur's UEFA Europa League match against Maribor.

Mike Hewitt

It's #YOLO time, everyone. Andre Villas-Boas has responded to this "must-win" game by picking two strikers. Yes, both Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe are playing tonight for Tottenham Hotspur against NK Maribor. I'm not sure if he's made this move because he thinks it gives Spurs the best chance to win tonight or because he wants to get a look at both of them to decide who to start against City this weekend, but I like it. I like it a lot.

Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-4-2): Hugo Lloris; Kyle Naughton, Jan Vertonghen, Michael Dawson, Kyle Walker; Gareth Bale, Tom Carroll, Tom Huddlestone, Aaron Lennon; Jermain Defoe, Emmanuel Adebayor.

I haven't seen the Maribor team, so please drop it in the comments if you do see it. The one other mild surprise in this team is that Vertonghen starts over Steven Caulker. Though, we shouldn't be too stunned, as he probably needs a rest. He's been starting every league, cup and Europa match for a while now.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. local time, 3 p.m. ET from White Hart Lane. You can catch the game on FOX Soccer, ITV 4 and Sportsnet regional networks.
