Jordan Archer sticks with Wycombe until season's end

Tottenham's young goalkeeper will spend the rest of the season in League Two.

Young Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Jordan Archer will have the opportunity to get some more playing time in the professional ranks this season. He headed out to League Two side Wycombe Wanderers early in the season on a short-term loan, and the side has decided to take him on loan for the rest of the season.

Since arriving at Wycombe, Archer has appeared 12 times and recorded three clean sheets. Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth said that the team is "really pleased with the way Jordan's settled into the squad and his level of performance."

The 19-year-old, who was signed by Spurs from Charlton Athletic, has represented Scotland Under-21 four times in his career. He spent last season at Bishop's Stortford, a Conference North side. At this point, it's impossible to tell if Archer will progress to a level where he's competing for a squad spot at Spurs (19 is young for a keeper), but it's nice to see that he's progressing and hasn't found his ceiling yet.
