Tottenham Hotspur Are Motivated And Must Win: Harry's Words, Not Mine

Someone is going to say it every single day until Fabrice Muamba can participate in training with a football team, but football is not as important as Fabrice Muamba's health. However, we now know that Muamba is getting closer to being healthy every day and that, even if he can't play professional football again (and that decision is a long way off), he's almost certainly going to recover to live a normal life.

And so, we have to move on. Tottenham Hotspur have to play a football match against Stoke City today, and it's an extremely important one in their season. Spurs have to win. Because of how close the race for the third and fourth spots has become, Tottenham have to win out at White Hart Lane.

From what Harry Redknapp is saying, he believes what I believe, and the players are both focused and motivated.

Here's Harry on hearing the positive news about Muamba and getting back out on the pitch.

"I spoke to Owen Coyle and he said they had had as good a day as could have been expected. All the lads are buoyed by the news which has come through, things have obviously picked up. Sometimes the best thing is to get back on the bike if you fall off, and we need to do that, we need to get going again. It will be a very tough game and we need to be ready to play, if we are not, then we will be in trouble with Stoke, that is for sure."

And here's more from Harry on how this is a must-win game.

"We need to play and we are ready to play. It will be a very tough game and we need to be ready to play, if we are not, then we will be in trouble with Stoke, that is for sure. We have had a run of not good results, but they have not been bad performances. We are not playing badly, but we need a result and want to be in form. If we don't win, then things are really getting a bit tight. It has closed up and we have to make sure we try to pick up three points."

Spurs have to win. Harry knows this. Now let's wait and see what Tottenham Hotspur shows up this afternoon.
