Thursday Morning Hoddle Of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur News And Links For March 8, 2012

I want you, to hate me!
I want you, to hate me!

Happy Thursday, Spursland! Literally nothing seemed to go right for the team yesterday other than that we won. Aaron Lennon went out injured, which I know came as a great shock to many, and Daws is likely out for the season with a big injury to his ankle. On the bright side, Gareth Bale secured an Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of "guy who's legs were just shot off" (the role made famous by the first scene in Saving Private Ryan) every time someone tried to tackle him. Glad that is over with.

And now the "news"

The Gunners Keeper With The Hard To Spell Name Hasn't Shut Up Yet, In Case You Were Wondering- BBC

I'll say this, I do enjoy it when players are unapologetic about wanting their big rivals to not do well. It's a breath of fresh air in the days when it seems every athlete has gone to the Crash Davis school of interviews. That, by the way, is the only nice thing I could manage to write about this douche. More on Comrade Consonant latter though.

Bale Unsure Over Penalty- ITV

Well, that's one way to say you know it was a soft call, but you are glad you got the call.

Arsenal Needs To Teach Comrade Consonant Some Manners- We Ain't Got No History

Dude, it's like you want everyone to hate you and you play for Arsenal so you were already kind of on the cusp of that anyway. Just stop trying so hard and maybe then your father will finally give you the attention you deeply crave!

The run is great, but the goal seemed to be not entirely the same class as the rest of the play. Just seems like the keeper probably should have had that.

MLS Steps Up It's Ref Game- SB Nation Soccer

It isn't exactly hard to step your game up when many games seem to be refereed by what appears to be people they found on the street who also have poor vision., but I'll take what I can get.

Oh, MLS, how I have missed you so. The countdown to the part of the season where me and Brian Mechanick are sending each other death threats over Twitter starts now.
