Tottenham Hotspur Vs. Fulham: Instant Reaction

We'll have more on the game, the league and all kinds of things later, but I just wanted to get something out quickly so I can have some time to think about all of the insanity of the day before writing anything that approaches thoughtful and insightful.

Tottenham Hotspur did their part on Sunday, defeating Fulham 2-0 at White Hart Lane. They got off to a brilliant start with an early goal, scored by Emmanuel Adebayor on a great pass by Rafael Van der Vaart and they sealed the win in the second half with a goal by Jermain Defoe. They were in control and it was comfortable throughout.

Unfortunately, Tottenham didn't pass Arsenal. The Gunners were down in the first half, but they clawed back for a win. WBA backup keeper Martin Fulop was dreadful, but it's hard to say Arsenal didn't deserve their win. WBA's opening goal was offside by a very clear margin, and Arsenal's defending in the second half was fantastic. Full credit to both teams for playing their asses off. Arsenal-WBA was a fantastic match to watch.

Our Champions League fate now lies in the hands of Bayern Munich, and we should have held on to third this year, but it's over now. We wanted fourth to start the year, we got fourth. We needed a win today after weeks of choking, and we got the win. It's a great way to end the season, and I'm proud of the team.

Also, HOLY CRAP CITY.
