It's like Christmas morning for football fans, because the 2012-13 Barclay's Premier League fixtures have been released. Tottenham Hotspur begin their 2012 Premier League campaign on the road at St. James's Park (or whatever it is that it's supposed to be called now). Not exactly the easiest of starts for Spurs' new manager.
However, the rest of the opening fixtures are considerably easier with the following two matches at home against West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City. The month of November offers a particularly difficult stretch for Tottenham Hotspur with a North London Derby on November 17 at the Emirates. Also that month are trips to the Etihad to face 2011-12 Premier League Champions Manchester City and a visit to White Hart Lane from Liverpool and West Ham.
The Christmas season is kind to Spurs this year. Fixtures against Stoke, Aston Villa, Reading, and Sunderland come in late December and should help propel Tottenham into the new year with plenty of points. Arsenal comes to White Hart Lane in March and Spurs head to Anfield the following week.
Closing fixtures against Wigan, Southampton, Stoke, and Sunderland will be a boon to the club if we're in contention for Champions League football at the end of the season. You can find Tottenham Hotspur's full schedule on the club's website.
