An update on our previously reports on Gylfi Sigurdsson's transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, as the Icelandic midfielder has apparently passed a physical and agreed to personal terms with Spurs. Sigurdsson, 22, will apparently cost the North London side £8 million as he leaves Hoffenheim. It is believed that the deal is all but complete and will be announced when the summer transfer window opens on July 1st. As we previously wrote on his fit on the club:

"Sigurdsson is much more of a replacement for Rafael van der Vaart than rumoured Tottenham departure Luka Modric. A central attacking midfielder, Sigurdsson possesses a nice range of passing and an attacking mindset, with a powerful shot from deep. With rumours again swirling of Van der Vaart returning to Germany, it will be interesting to see if Sigurdsson is brought to be an apprentice... or immediate replacement."

With this transfer seemingly all but finished, it will be interesting to see where Daniel Levy turns his attention next on the transfer front. The club has seen departures as Niko Kranjcar and Vedran Corluka have left the club. With the Jan Vertonghen deal still in limbo, the club may turn its attention to striker, or perhaps resolving the Luka Modric saga.
