Happy Wednesday, Spursland! For those who have not heard the good news or scrolled down the page past my inane babble, our fearless leader Kevin McCauley is compiling a CFC and Tottenham fan glossary, it will be a veritable tome of awesomeness. I can't wait for it so that I can finally figure out what the hell you people have been talking about for all this time.
And now the "news"
A great analysis piece, even if it doesn't contain anything anyone who spends 10 minutes or so a day here didn't already know. It isn't that we are better than the BBC, just faster. Although if you watched last week's "The Newsroom" you know that that doesn't matter to "real newsmen".
SportsVibe is kind of crap, but there has been a lot of chatter about this move in the last few days and if the rumored price of £13.5 million is true then I will be very happy. Except it isn't true so stop doing you celebratory chicken dance. Your boss is looking and now you don't have a reasonable excuse. Kiss that promotion goodbye, "Office Crazy Guy".
What's happening around SB Nation after the jump
No word as yet if RVP was sending dong picks to a strange lady over his twitter acc...oh I get it, he actually got hacked and isn't just trying to cover up an affair? Oh, Sabrina is going to be so disappointed that none of those "special" pictures are going to be forthcoming.
No word as yet if this guy was tricked yet again.
There is a great scene from Prefontaine where Bill Bowerman makes Pre a pair of shoes using a waffle iron then has him run a mile on the track (4 laps). The shoes disintegrate after 3 laps. The notoriously hot-tempered Pre is not happy. Every time I here the phrase "160 gram shoe" this scene runs through my mind in it's entirety. I would love to link to the scene, but it turns out internet nerds are not into mid 90's biopics about my father's track and field hero. Who knew?
Good for Forrest fans. They have been standing by what was once one of the biggest clubs in the country as they floundered in obscurity of the lower leagues for years, and not without a bit of humor.
