Interesting report from The Telegraph's Jason Burt, chock full of Spurs news. To begin, Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly agreed on a £5 million fee with Manchester City over Emmanuel Adebayor. However, the Togolese's demanded £150,000 a week wages are proving the stumbling block that may blow up Adebayor's return to White Hart Lane.
However, the latest rumors have wide forwards linked to Totttenham, rather than number 9s. First up is Fulham's versatile attacker Moussa Dembele. The Belgian International is apparently attached with a £15 million price tag. Dembele, 25, came up as a forward, but found himself playing central midfield and attacking midfield almost exclusively last season. Able to play in any midfield or forward position, Dembele would provide a super-utility man to new Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas.
At the same time, Spurs are linked to Shakhtar Donetsk winger Willian. Shakhtar have reportedly attached a £19.5 million price tag to the Brazilian. However, the club claimed they rejected an offer of £25.5 million from Chelsea in January. Willian, 23, has traditionally played as an inside-out left winger for the Ukranian Champions. But the winger has played some on the right, a position of more need for the current Tottenham squad.
With Steven Pienaar seemingly leaving Tottenham at any moment, look for some new wide attackers to come to White Hart Lane.
