Tottenham Hotspur resumes their preseason and tour of the United States on Saturday night, and very few of you will be joining me in the game thread. That's because a gigantic chunk of you, including some of my co-authors, will be at the stadium in Baltimore when Spurs face Liverpool on Saturday night.

Spurs were not impressive in their first game of the tour against LA Galaxy, though there were definitely some positives to take out of the game. Youngsters Andros Townsend and Tom Carroll were very impressive and Gareth Balescored an excellent goal. The high line was very shaky, though, and the defense is something that Andre Villas-Boas is going to have to get sorted out quickly.

Kyle Walker and Rafael Van der Vaart are injured and out for this game. They're expected to return and play some limited minutes against New York Red Bulls. Gareth Bale's status is unclear.

Liverpool had some positive moments in their friendly against AS Roma at Fenway Park, but were mostly outplayed by the Italian side. Their passing and possession in midfield is already looking better under Brendan Rodgers, but without Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, they definitely lack something in the final third. Liverpool played their youngsters up top against Roma, and could finally give some minutes to Fabio Borini.

I'll have more about Spurs and what I expect them to do a bit later. For more, here's all the basic info.
