Manchester United Sign Robin Van Persie, Tottenham Sign No Strikers

Orange is better than red

Robin van Persie is heading to Old Trafford after Arsenal agreed to sell the striker to Manchester United. Cue your laughing at the Gunners .... done yet? No. Okay, continue ... done now? Cool.

Now let's get down to business. TOTTENHAM STILL DON'T HAVE A STRIKER.

Seriously, the season starts in three days and Spurs don't have a striker. Meanwhile, United are buying last year's leading scorer to add to the striker stable that includes last year's second leading scorer, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov. Hell, they have Federico Macheda. Why can't Tottenham even have a Macheda?

Somewhere out there, the soccer gods are laughing at Spurs. They are laughing at us. Yes, Arsenal just lost their best player and that is both funny and increases Spurs' chances at finishing in the top four, but there are enough problems at White Hart Lane to worry about what is going on at the Emirates.

Oh, and Tottenham might be selling their best player for far less than they expected to. The world is an evil, evil place.
