Everton Topple Man Utd. In Scrappy Underdog Performance- SB Nation Soccer

May I just say that while Man Utd. has a lot of injury issues, the confidence in their offense that they decided to start Michael Carrick at CB and Valencia as a right back is amazing. And yes, it was Carrick who's marking made Fallaini look like the greatest aerial threat in history.

In the end their offense was somehow anemic and they lost in deserved fashion. I will say this, though -- I poked my head in on The Busby Babe's live match thread and their fans were nothing short of class. No declarations that the sky was falling, no complaints about refereeing. Just a well done to Everton and a "we'll get 'em next time" attitude. I think we could all learn a lot from them.
