According to Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas, via the official twitter account of the club, it's now up to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris whether or not he wants to move to Tottenham Hotspur.

There are slightly more extensive quotes from Aulas over at L'Equipe. It sounds as if Daniel Levy has spoken to Aulas about the transfer, and according to Aulas and L'Equipe, the teams appear to have agreed on a transfer in principle. This means it's just up to Lloris whether or not he wants to come to Tottenham, which will probably have a lot to do with money.
I'm going to go ahead and assume that L'Equipe and the verified Olympique Lyonnais twitter feed would not have fake quotes from Aulas, and that Aulas would not say that the transfer was entirely in the hands of Lloris if it wasn't true. Even if Tottenham are a team of limited means that cannot buy Lloris, a midfielder and a forward in the next five days, I'm seriously welcoming this news.
Brad Friedel's days are numbered, and no one expects him to be a Champions League-quality keeper come next season. He's already looked a bit off the pace in the first two games of the season in this writer's humble opinion. Lloris is one of the world's top keepers, and at his age, he would be a spectacular buy at €15m.
Whether or not Levy has had a bid accepted and whether or not Lloris has serious interest in coming, we're going to hear a lot about this over the next few days, along with a number of other transfers. Things have all gone a bit nuts with the news that Modric is gone.
