Update: Sunderland might be in for Jenas.
Jermaine Jenas has played lots of very good and lots of very bad games for Tottenham Hotspur. Sometimes, he tears Arsenal to pieces. Sometimes he has three giveaways that lead to goals and loses games by himself. Most of the time, he just doesn't do anything. He's not going to play much under Andre Villas-Boas this season and his contract is up at the end of the year. It's time to try to get something for him.
Position: Central midfielder
Age: 29
With the club since: August 2007
Likelihood he's sold: Pretty good, though Daniel Levy's going to have to take dang near nothing as a fee if he wants Jenas off the books and any kind of money for him. since he's coming off of a nasty knee injury and his contract is up at the end of the season. He's simply not that worth that much to anyone, even a Premier League team that views him as a solid potential starter.
Likelihood he plays if he stays: Very slim, at least when Scott Parker returns from injury. If Spurs buy another midfielder today, he won't be playing at all in league games. The members of this site lost their collective stuff when he came on as a sub against West Brom, and for good reason. He's not good enough to play regularly for a team who aspires to qualify for the Champions League.
If he leaves, he goes to: Fulham for £3m. And we're lucky if someone pays that much.
