It's starting to look like Joao Moutinho to Tottenham Hotspur is a real thing. Reports started flowing early this morning that Moutinho to Spurs was revived, but now real reports from somewhat credible sources who are naming prices are chiming in.
Not long after one report had Spurs and Porto agreeing to a deal for £20 million, Sky Sports New reported that their sources say the deal is done for £22 million. It is unlikely that multiple sources would have the same report right around the same time with similar, but slightly different prices if it was all made up. There is something in this and that something is likely a done deal.
A £22 million move would be a new club record, which is no surprise. It was always going to take a record signing to nab Moutinho and £22 million is a long ways off from the £30 million that Porto originally asked for. It's not as if Porto just folded and gave him away at a cut rate price, though. Anything in the £20-22 million range is a fair deal.
Jump up and down, get excited, do what you do. This one, while not official, looks like it's going to happen.
