Hugo Lloris is at Spurs Lodge, which could mean that the goalkeeper's move to Tottenham Hotspur is done or that he's just at the ready to have his medical if it does get done. You get to choose since we don't know any better.
At this point, we have to assume that the deal is likely, if not done. That doesn't mean that you should pop the champagne just yet, but you're welcome to smile and do your happy dance.
Lloris would be an amazing signing for Spurs, especially at the rumored £10-12 million fee. That is an absolute bargain for a 25-year-old goalkeeper who is one of the best in the world. It would solidify the position at White Hart Lane for a decade-plus. Anytime you can do that at any position, you do it.
So how do you get such a good deal on such a good player? Daniel Levy, of course.
"The negotiation with the Tottenham directors has been the hardest I have ever had to undergo in these 25 years," Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas said.
Daniel Levy comes ready to battle. The only rule in a Daniel Levy fight is that there are no rules. He'll hit you below the belt. He doesn't care.
