Sky Sports News is now reporting that Tottenham Hotspur's potential move for Olympic Lyon and French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris still has a long way to go. Sky Sports managed to interview Tottenham goalkeeping coach Tony Parks as he left the training ground. Speaking through his car window, a la Harry Redknapp, the former Tottenham keeper had this to say about Lloris:

"I have just seen him in the training ground with his father, I think he is in the offices at the moment with the club secretary, but my understanding is that it is far from a done deal."

"If Hugo joins us, great, I think he will be a fantastic addition to our squad. I think he is a quality keeper."

Nothing revealed here is terribly earth-shattering. I think we all knew that this deal wasn't quite certain yet, but with Lloris in Chigwell working on personal terms I don't think there's any doubt that the he will complete this move. Parks' quotes merely reflect that the two sides are still negotiating.
