Someone should definitely tell Harry Redknapp that he is not the manager of Tottenham Hotspur anymore. I know that we all thought that when Tottenham Hotspur fired Redknapp we'd hear a lot less of his Cockney accent talking to the press out of car windows about Tottenham Hotspur players.
Surprise!!!!!! We were wrong. Turns out that Harry has some thoughts on this whole Luka Modric saga that he would like all of us to know. In an interview with the Mirror (as reported by Sky Sports) Harry said:
I would not be sure Luka would start the season at Tottenham. The club would be happy to sell if they get the right money. The chairman said to him last year 'Give us one more season and if Real come in, I won't stand in your way.
Ok, so the first couple of sentences are fine. I don't really care if Harry says that he doesn't think Luka will be around or that he thinks Spurs will sell him if their valuation is met. I think most people in the world think that. However, going around saying things like Daniel Levy told Luka Modric he could leave if Real Madrid came in for him this offseason is a bit much.
Harry, I appreciate that you're trying to find your way in the world and that you're trying your hand at being a pundit. However, I would kindly appreciate it if you would keep Tottenham players' names "out yo mouf". Okay? Thanks. Bye.
