Tottenham Hotspur have a mostly fit squad to face Norwich City on Wednesday, thanks to the medical staff. Jermain Defoe, who was out injured over the weekend, will return to the squad. He should start, but obviously that's up in the air if he has any kind of injury concern. It's nice to learn that he'll be in the squad, but don't be shocked if Clint Dempsey gets another turn as a center forward.
Here's what Andre Villas-Boas had to say on the official team website:
"Jermain's body feels well, he feels fine about his fitness and he trained today. Obviously he's disappointed that he had to miss Leeds but we've seen excellent work by the medical department to get him back. He's selected for Norwich and Lewis Holtby is in the squad as well. We've a minor setback with Tom Huddlestone - tightness in his quad - so we won't take a risk by taking him."
We mentioned that Holtby news earlier in the day, so that's not a surprise. The news about Huddlestone is a bit of a surprise, but he would have only been a late-game substitute anyway. It'll be worth keeping an eye on the papers for news regarding Big Tom over the next couple of days. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he moves on this window, either on a transfer or on loan.
Younes Kaboul and Sandro remain sidelined with long-term injuries. Emmanuel Adebayor is still at Africa Cup of Nations.
