Tottenham v. Norwich: Lineups and Game Thread

Spurs head to Carrow Road to take on the Canaries.

Jamie McDonald

O HAI, everybody! Did you remember there's a match today? Let's hope some of that good karma rubs off on the team this afternoon as the lads head northeast to take on Norwich City at Carrow Road.

For Tottenham, Jermain Defoe returns to his starting position after his mysterious absence against Leeds. He's apparently healthy enough to start, so apparently it was just a precautionary knock. Andre Villas-Boas was true to his word and has included new boy Lewis Holtby in the 18; he starts on the bench, but we might see him in relief already today. Otherwise, this is your standard first-team no-Adebayor lineup for Spurs.

No surprises from Chris Hughton and Norwich, as they line up in their standard 4-4-1-1 with Grant Holt up top and Wes Hoolahan in the hole.

Lineups

Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Lloris, Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto, Dembele, Parker, Lennon, Bale, Dempsey, Defoe
Subs: Friedel, Naughton, Gallas, Caulker, Holtby, Livermore, Sigurdsson

Norwich City (4-4-1-1): Bunn, R Martin, Johnson, Bassong, Turner, Snodgrass, Holt, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Garrido, Tettey
Subs: Camp, Whittaker, Howson, Jackson, Fox, E.Bennett, R.Bennett

For our friends in the United States, the game is broadcast on ESPN3. And remember, please no posting links to illegal streams in the comments!

Enjoy the match, and let's get three points today! COYS!
