Harry goes on Tottenham raid: QPR might lure Jenas, Bentley and Townsend to Loftus Road

Harry Redknapp might bring all of his favorites to QPR.

Stop me if you've heard this before: Harry Redknapp wants to sign some of his former Tottenham Hotspur players for Queens Park Rangers.

After a month of QPR being linked to Scott Parker, Jake Livermore, Tom Huddlestone and Michael Dawson, the Daily Mail has resorted to linking Jermaine Jenas, David Bentley and Andros Townsend to West London. That's quite a drop in quality.

While Spurs would love to rid themselves of Jenas and Bentley (and their wages), Townsend is actually a quality player worth holding on to, which is why he would reportedly go to Loftus Road on loan instead of a permanent deal. Spurs don't have many wingers and he is a young one who has shown promise in his few appearances. But Andre Villas-Boas hasn't given Townsend many chances, giving Clint Dempsey starts out wide in Gareth Bale's absence instead of Townsend, so a chance to play at QPR would be a nice boost for Townsend.

Unfortunately, Spurs might be getting rid of Jenas and Bentley just months before their contracts expire, but it's better to save a few months of wages than nothing at all. The pair are useless*. Be gone with them.
