Tottenham Hotspur have announced that fullback Adam Smith has extended his loan at Championship club Millwall, and that he will remain with the club for the remainder of the season. Smith has established himself as a first-choice player at The Den, and was arguably the man of the match in their FA Cup upset over Aston Villa.
The release from the official club website lists some more accomplishments, because why not?
Adam Smith has had his loan at Millwall extended until the end of the season.
The England Under-21 international originally signed on loan with the Championship side in late October and has gone on to make 18 appearances as well as scoring the winning goal against Bristol City on New Year's Day.
It can only be a good thing for Smith to get continued playing time in the Championship. He's been brilliant whenever I've seen him in the Championship and while playing for England youth teams, and he's been a competent player in his few Tottenham appearances as well. I'm thinking he'll come back from Millwall ready to fight for regular spot in the 18-man squad at Spurs.
