The Chairman of Peterborough United, Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur youngster Alex Pritchard will be joining Championship stragglers Peterborough on loan for the remainder of the season.
Delighted to announce loan signing of Alex Pritchard from Spurs who has joined until end of season. He is a fantastic young talent.

The Posh currently sit at the foot of the Championship table. Pritchard, an attacking midfielder, will bolster the Peterborough attack. Unfortunately for manager Darren Ferguson and the rest of the folks at Posh, their problem is in defense, which Pritchard isn't going to help out much with.
To be honest, a loan to the Championship is a big surprise to me. This really speaks to how advanced Pritchard is despite being just 19. This is his first loan move and to be headed write to the second tier is kind of a big deal. I assume that this loan will also be announced with a contract extension for Pritchard, but we won't know about that until Tottenham tells us something about it.
