For the sixth straight transfer window, Spurs are heavily linked with Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao. Every transfer window we go to our beloved club partners Internacional and bid for their star striker. And every transfer window, they move the goalposts on the transfer fee until midnight on the 31st when the window shuts leaving Spurs without their dream signing.

Will this year be any different? Almost certainly not. But credible sources have linked Spurs with a £15m bid for Damiao and we are duty-bound to report it to you. Of course this means Internacional want £20m. The dance goes on.

But unlike in previous transfer windows, one thing that might actually work to Spurs' advantage this time is that Leandro Damiao finally seems eager for the chance to try his luck overseas. Hopefully he can put pressure on his club to let the deal finally go through.

Whether Damiao is the right player for us at this time has been the subject of much debate around these parts, but with Adebayor jetting off to the Africa Cup of Nations, there is no question that Spurs are very thin up top and desperately in need of reinforcements.

Do you want to see Leandro Damiao at the Lane? Is £15m enough to get the job done? Will Daniel Levy pull a bait-and-switch and end up signing Neymar instead for a pair of Gareth Bale's used underwear and a sock full of Spanish Doubloons?
