Wednesday Morning Hoddle Of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur News And Links For October 16, 2013

Tottenham Hotspur news and links, with pro-New Zealand sentiments.

Michael Steele

Happy Wednesday, Spursland! Well, no, not really. You see today, friends, we say goodbye to one of our own. We say goodbye to that most prolific commenter, that warrior in the just hit z trenches Edward F. Ed is stepping aside from Cartilage Free Captain to make more room for his professional life and a few other personal reasons. He has taken the strong step to self-ban himself so you won't be seeing him in the comments section anymore, but rest assured, he will be watching, and I sincerely hope that he will be back soon. Happy trails Ed, you will be missed.

Okay, enough of that feel good BS, lets all laugh at Panama!!!!!! You're welcome, Mexico.

And now the "news"

Dawkins On Trial At Derby County- BBC

Nice to see the guy back in England because nobody should be banished to living in San Jose for so long.

Baines And Townsend Wide Play Lead England To Brazil- The Guardian

Way to go, England! See you in Brazil.

Benzema To Arsenal In January?- The Short Fuse

Not a chance. The move is supposed to make room for Suarez. Now I know Madrid paid like 50 million more than Bale is really worth for him, but there is no way they are prepared to offer enough to pry Suarez away from Liverpool mid-season.

Mexico Back Into Playoff For World Cup Slot -SB Nation Soccer

Go Kiwi's. Enough said, but I'm going just a bit harder, on the day of the game I will consume nothing but kiwis in an attempt (I assume) to toss the New Zealand economy a few shekels. I will imbibe nothing but that hairy fruit that day.  DO YOU HEAR ME, ALMOST BUT NOT EXACTLY AUSTRALIA? AMERICA IS WITH YOU!.

USMNT Stuns Panama In Stoppage TIme -SB Nation Soccer

Sorry, not sorry. Okay, a little bit sorry, but that doesn't have anything at all to do with you.
