According to Gary Jacob of The Times, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho could miss four weeks with an ankle injury. He picked up the injury during Sunday's game against Stoke, thanks to a challenge from Charlie Adam, and limped off as he was substituted.

It's obviously never good news when a team loses a player for a month, but the timing couldn't be worse for Paulinho and Spurs. Coming off a string of average performances followed by a three-game suspension for violent conduct, Paulinho played the best game of his brief Spurs career on Sunday.
Tottenham will now be without the Brazilian for Wednesday's match against Manchester United and Saturday's FA Cup tie against Arsenal, undoubtedly two of the biggest games of the season for Spurs. With no timetable currently being given for Sandro's return, it's tough to guess if this will be no big deal for Tottenham or a massive blow.
