What a month. The past thirty days have brought no losses to Tottenham Hotspur, as Spurs have raced up the table into third. The team has been led by Gareth Bale's sterling scoring form, tallying 10 goals in his last eight games.
But in the way this week is one of the players fighting Bale for the scoring title and Player of the Year--Luis Suarez. Suarez's Liverpool side find themselves in eight place, 10 points out of Champions League. Liverpool has been up and down this season, but a combined 9-0 scoreline in their last two league matches definitely shows the team with a bit of form. Anything but a win will seemingly knock Liverpool's Champions League hopes down considerably.
As for the Prediction League, Mechanick, Petrilli and Ryan hit perfect predictions, forming a two way tie for the lead. The rules remain the same in the Prediction League--one point for a correct prediction, a bonus point for getting the score correct. Here are the current standings:
Name | Score |
Mechanick | 22 |
Petrilli | 22 |
Ashlock | 21 |
Ryan | 18 |
Ed | 15 |
Uncle Menno | 15 |
Kevin | 14 |
The Roosevelts | 13 |
This week's predictions:
Kevin: Old Spurs fan has not been expelled from my body. I still think we're going to Spurs this up. I will believe if we do well in this game. 2-1 Liverpool.
Mechanick: A battle between two player of the year candidates? Of course it ends in a bore draw. 0-0 Draw
Ryan: This match has loss written all over it, for we are Spurs. Also, Luis Suarez is good. 3-1 Liverpool
Ashlock: Bale and Suarez cancel each other out. 1-1 Draw
The Roosevelts: 4-4 Tie as Bale and Suarez get into a pissing contest.
Ed: 2-2 Draw, and I'll take it.
Petrilli: 2-1 Spurs. http://i.minus.com/ibqptCZslyyOH1.gif
Uncle Menno: 2-0 Spurs, you pessimistic bitches.
