Europa League early games open thread

Come chat with CFC as we wait for the Tottenham game to start.

Matthew Lewis

Sup, everyone? Spurs aren't on until 8 pm UK/3 pm ET, and we've got quite a bit of time to kill before lineups drop on that one. I figure that none of you really like your day jobs or class anyway, and you'll be watching the early Europa League games. This is a place to talk about them!

Below is the schedule of all the things you can watch. I'll be watching Anzhi-Newcastle, and I'll have Steaua-Chelsea on as well because it's the TV game in Murrica. Do we have any hipsters in the house checking out Stuttgart-Lazio or Plzen-Fener? I feel like that latter one is going to be the best of the bunch, actually.

This is your open thread, so chat away.

Schedule (all times ET)

Anzhi Makhachkala vs. Newcastle United - 12 p.m.
Steaua Bucharest vs. Chelsea - 1 p.m.
VfB Stuttgart vs. Lazio - 1 p.m.
Viktoria Plzen vs. Fenerbahce - 1 p.m.
Benfica vs. Bordeaux - 3 p.m.
FC Basel vs. Zenit St. Petersburg - 3 p.m.
Levante vs. Rubin Kazan - 3 p.m.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Inter Milan - 3 p.m.
