Younes Kaboul gets another rehab start Monday

In his second match since returning from injury, Younes Kaboul starts on Monday night for Tottenham Hotspur Under-21 against Manchester United.

Younes Kaboul is nearing full fitness, and we should know sometime this week whether or not he'll be able to return to Premier League action shortly. Last week, he made his return from a long injury layoff in a 60-minute run-out for the U-21 squad against West Ham. Tonight, he's in the starting XI for the U-21 match against Manchester United, and hopefully he's able to go 90 minutes.

Of course, the minutes he plays are for the trainers to decide, but it would be a wonderfully encouraging sign that he's ready to return. Spurs have yet to release their starting XI for the game, but say that Kaboul will line up against Grant Hall in the center of the Tottenham defense.

I've been satisfied with the play of Tottenham's central defenders recently and throughout the season, but it'll be great to have another option on the bench. And, given how brilliant Kaboul was last season, it wouldn't be stunning if he was able to reclaim a starting position for at least one game between now and the end of the season.

If nothing else, at least the Bull is getting healthy.
