While Tottenham Hotspur supporters are all used to misinformation and injury bombshells at this point, it appears that Gareth Bale's ankle injury is not as bad as first feared. He had a scan on Friday, and according to David Ornstein at the BBC, he could return to face Manchester City in just over two weeks.
Bale's ankle injury not as bad as feared. Scan went well, not out for season & #thfc hope he'll be back for #mcfc on 21 April #bbcfootball

This is obviously excellent news. Any time a stretcher comes off and a player is unable to leave under their own power, we tend to fear the worst. Even if Bale's not healthy for City, it's great news that he isn't out for the season.
Of course, that doesn't help us get three points against Everton or defeat Basel on Thursday, but this could have been a lot worse.
