Moussa Dembele thankfully ill, not injured

Belgium subbed off two players who play their club ball in North London in the first half of their game on Wednesday. Thomas Vermaelen is injured, but Moussa Dembele isn't.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was substituted after just 41 minutes in Belgium's friendly against the United States on Wednesday night. Since Kyle Walker recently got injured in a meaningless friendly, I got real mad. Thankfully, news has come out that Dembele came out because he was sick, not injured.

Dutch website FC Update had a quote from Belgium coach Marc Wilmots on Dembele:

"Hij werd gewisseld omdat hij ziek is", aldus bondscoach Marc Wilmots.

That reads "he was substituted because he is ill", according to the Google Translate machine. I'm happy he came off because of that, as opposed to Thomas Vermaelen, who was subbed off five minutes earlier with a thigh problem.

Belgium has one more game during this early summer international schedule. They're flying home to Europe and take on Serbia in a crucial World Cup qualifier on June 7. Presumably, Dembele will be ready to play in that match, provided he doesn't have some kind of horrible super illness.
