Tottenham Hotspur vs. Southampton preview: Gareth Balepalooza

Hey, look! It's another chance to talk about Gareth Bale!

There are two Bale story lines this week: his playing the team he came up with, Southampton, and his playing his 200th match for Tottenham Hotspur.

There's also a third story line: Gareth Bale is really good at football.

The third story line will probably be most important seeing as this is an actual football match where you try to score more goals than the other team and Spurs are in a battle for a Champions League place...again.

It feels like every season (slash the last four seasons) the calendar turns to May, Tottenham have a battle for a top four place and there's not a lot left to say about the matches. The stakes are clear, the matches are straightforward and it's just a matter of whether or not Spurs show up to play or not. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, and there is absolutely no indicator of whether or not they will show up against the Saints or not.
