Happy Monday Spursland! George Michael told us that we gotta have faith. Bill Hicks explained why George was wrong (NSFW audio). Bill ahead of his time, as he always was in his career, knew what was up. We have been learning this all season long. You gotta have Bale.
And now the "news"
Well of course the players are confident. Bale is playing, so why wouldn't they be? And for those of you who aren't confident, let's all take a breath and remember that we are playing a team managed by Rafa. It's all good.
Sounds good, but now that AVB has gotten Levy to take the billfold out of his pocket he will need to pry the money out of the hairless vampire's fingers. Just ask Internacional how easy it is to do that.
The name of my enemy is meaningless; That I know his face is meaningless. All that matters is that I must destroy him. -Coach Roosevelts 2013
Phrases like " Don't have the financial muscle of Cardiff City" leave me feeling like this might be a one and down thing.
Finally someone besides us appreciates Captain LOL.
Ah the Preakness, or as this Marylander refers to it "the good one". Here the pressure is amped up, the story lines are set. Will we finally have someone to go for the triple crown, or not. And also we of course get the media coverage that tries so much not to admit what we all know. This race shouldn't be held in Baltimore, once our nations powerhouse port, now a slowly dying place where people hold on as best they can. Not that I don't love it, but it's the truth.
Gone are the spring one day classics as the first of the grand tours is on. People who have never watched cycling but might like it, auto racing fans and those who ran track in high school (400 meters and up only). Give it a shot, so that I am not alone in my excitement for the Tour De France this July.
