New, comments

England takes on Italy in Israel as the U-21 Championship gets underway in Israel.

England are playing what looks like a 4-4-2, while Italy line up in a 4-3-3. Clyne is starting over Smith, while Rose is not eligible for the game due to a red card received in the last qualifier match. England are drawn with Israel, Italy, and Norway in the group stage, and the top two teams advance to the knockout rounds. On the other side are Germany, Spain, Netherlands, and Russia. All games are available on WatchESPN.

Television: Available on ESPNU, as well as on WatchESPN in the USA. SkySports2 is your channel in the UK, TSN in Canada

Time: 2:30 p.m. EST, 7:30 p.m in the U.K.

Referee: Antony Gautier, France

England Player to Watch: Wilfried Zaha, who won't be playing, but is better than every striker England has on this roster.

Italy Player to Watch: Ciro Immobile, who tore up the Serie B two seasons ago and is looking to move to a bigger team that will allow him to score goals more easily.
