Scott Parker is cool. He has absolutely gorgeous hair. He looks like some combination of the out of shape in shape guy from the 50s and a RAF pilot from World War II. He had a great first season at Spurs under Harry Redknapp and even while he wasn't at his best last season, he was working his tail off and giving everything for the team. Unfortunately, that's not quite good enough to win him a spot in next year's squad.
On top of not being very good at all last season, Parker is also going to turn 33 in the fall. Time is running out for Spurs to get any kind of fee for him, so it appears that he'll be moving on. According to The Guardian, his asking price is £2m and Queens Park Rangers are the team most likely to capture his signature.
Though Parker is almost certainly good enough to play a part for a Premier League team next season, this isn't surprising. QPR are out of dire financial straits after they got Anzhi to take back Christopher Samba, and they'll make some decent money off the sale of Loic Remy, provided he avoids criminal charges after he was arrested on suspicion of rape back in May. They'll pay Parker good wages and he'll start for a manager that loves him, on a team that could have a chance to go back up to the Premier League.
This seems like a good, sensible move for Spurs, Parker and QPR. I wouldn't be shocked to see more come of this shortly.
