Gareth Bale expected to stay for one more year

Real Madrid look set to move on to other transfer targets. With Gareth Bale not demanding to leave, Daniel Levy isn't going to sell and Florentino Perez will have to wait to get his man.

Gareth Bale might be a Real Madrid player one day, but don't expect that day to come this summer. Florentino Perez is going to move on with Daniel Levy unwilling to sell and Bale willing to stay at Tottenham Hotspur, according to all of MARCA, the Daily Mail and the Mirror.

There's too much time left in the transfer window to declare this totally dead, but these reports are consistent with what most Spurs fans have believed. Bale will probably leave Tottenham eventually, but Bale is happy at the club and Levy looks willing to buy and put more talent around him. Because Bale is only 23 and just signed a new contract last year, Spurs don't have much incentive to sell him. Barring catastrophic injury, he'll be just as valuable next summer.

Hopefully this is the last we hear about Madrid's interest in Bale or vice versa for the rest of the summer. And even if it isn't, it looks unlikely that Bale is going to demand a transfer. Prepare to watch at least one more season of Bale with Spurs.
