Despite his reluctance to leave the club that his father coaches and Tottenham Hotspur's current depth in wide areas, we're still being linked to Thomas Ince. This rumor comes by way of The Sun, which is now hilariously behind a paywall.
Seriously, The Sun behind a paywall? The freaking Sun, of all papers?
Anyway, Blackpool accepted bids for his services from lower table Premier League clubs earlier in the transfer window, but Ince opted to stay. He'd probably want to re-consider his opinion if a team that is comfortably top half and a favorite to qualify for Europe came in for him, but there's always the possibility that he'd want to say even if Tottenham or a similarly big club had a bid accepted.
The 21-year-old England youth international had an excellent season in the Championship last year and is almost certainly good enough to make a step up, but it's tough to see where he fits into the Tottenham team. If anyone has an explanation for this, I'm all ears.
