Hey, so here's a weird story that is almost certainly absolute nonsense. Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc is interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye for his club, but he also believes that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in him. Here's his quote from Le10Sport, translated into English by Metro.
‘He (Cabaye) is a very good player. I have not changed my mind (about him). For now, he is at Newcastle. I have also read he is in Tottenham's plans. Newcastle, Tottenham or Paris - I hope he will still be at a big club in September.'
I'm not exactly sure where Blanc read that, because I haven't read anything to that effect in a few months, but this is almost certainly set to lead to a bunch of websites and papers linking us to Cabaye. This, despite the fact that Spurs already had too many central midfielders before yesterday's news about Etienne Capoue dropped.
We don't exactly have a Cabaye-like player and I'd love to have him at Spurs, but this is a ridiculously #batcountry story and I doubt anything comes of it.
