Monday Morning Hoddle Of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur News And Links January 13, 2013

Tottenham Hotspur news and daily links.

Julian Finney

Happy Monday Spursland!  The Golden Globes were last night and literally nobody who doesn't get paid to write about who is going to win the Oscars cared. That being said you WILL be forced to discuss this for somewhere between 30 seconds and 12 minutes during whatever is the usual place in your place of employment that forces you to interact with other employees. It might be the break room, maybe it's the printer, maybe its that weird hallway that dead ends at the bathroom meaning if anyone sees you walk down there they know exactly what you are about to do.  GOD FORBID YOU WANT TO BRING A BOOK OR THE PAPER FOR SOMETHING TO READ  NOW EVERYONE KNOWS YOUR PLANNED...activity. How do you combat this conversation? How do you disarm your coworker as they try to force their lameness into your soul? Just a few simple words.  "I can't take them seriously, they nominated Steve McQueen for an award and he has been dead since 1980!" Then walk away quickly and go back to fighting about pizza or whatever the food of choice to argue about in the comments is today.

And for you young'ns out there, yes this is what awaits you in the professional world.

And now the "news"

Can someone run out and get paper towels?  I am in need of something absorbent to catch all the drool coming out of my mouth.

A-Rod's Suspension Reduced To 162 games-SB Nation

A great move by the arbitrator.  The 211 game suspension was clearly over the top and probably motivated by Bus Seiig' wanting to at all costs protect Hank Aaron's all time home run record.  That said people shouldn't cheat in sports even if tens of millions of dollars could be gained for not that large an investment in needles and steroids.  LOL
