One of the Tottenham Hotspur youth products that Tim Sherwood seems to be so high on should be making his return to the first team sooner rather than later. Andros Townsend, who left the League Cup match against West Ham United with a torn hamstring, played 45 minutes in Spurs' U-21 match against Newcastle on Tuesday.
It went about as well as possible for Townsend and Spurs, with the winger netting a goal in his one half of play.

With 45 minutes under his belt, Townsend should be coming back shortly. Tottenham play on Sunday against Swansea before taking a long break due to an upcoming FA Cup weekend. By the time Spurs go to Hull on February 1, Townsend should be fit enough to start.
