Update: Lewis Holtby is in London and Christoph Metzelder is full of it.
According to former Germany, Schalke and Dortmund player Christoph Metzelder, Lewis Holtby has landed in Germany. Since Spurs have a game today and he has not been listed as injured, he's presumably either looking for a transfer or in exile. Metzelder doesn't seem to know if he's going to BVB, Schalke or somewhere else.
@LewisHoltby ist in Düsseldorf gelandet und nimmt die A40...unklar ist nur noch die Abfahrt! #BVB #s04

That Metzelder account is verified, but I was skeptical about the low follower count. However, Bild has published a story based on the tweet and a German TV presenter acknowledged it, so I'm guessing this is the real Metzelder.
If Holtby is indeed in Germany (and who knows if this is true) to work out a loan (or permanent) move to Schalke, I'm going to assume that it means there's movement on a potential Julian Draxler transfer, even though Schalke has insisted he won't be sold in January. Schalke have decent attacking midfield depth as long as Draxler is there, so a loan move wouldn't be beneficial for Spurs unless Draxler is getting sold.
We're going to hear a lot more about this in the next couple of days. I have no idea what Spurs or Schalke is doing. Or if Holtby is actually in Germany.
