Spurs, Arsenal targeting the same striker?

Mirko Vucinic is on his way out of Juventus, but where will he go? Spurs and Arsenal are both being linked.

The Mirror reported on Mirko Vucinic's potential exit from Juventus earlier in the day on Wednesday, naming Tottenham Hotspur as a potential destination, but it's looking a bit more likely that he'll head on loan to Arsenal. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Vucinic is close to a move to the Emirates.

Here's what The Mirror -- via Sky Italia -- quoted Vucinic's agent Alessandro Lucci as saying.

"Vucinic spoke with Conte and they have agreed he will train apart in these last days of the transfer market because he is involved in some possible negotiations."

The outlet said that "Franco Baldini has spoken to Juve officials recently," but weren't able to offer a stronger link than that. Probably because there wasn't one. Di Marzio says that Lucci "is working hard [to close the deal] at this time and is now awaiting the Gunners' response".

Vucinic isn't my favorite player, but he has more technical quality than any striker currently in our side, and I'd certainly love to deny Arsenal their striker cover last minute. Inevitably, these rumors will lead to Vucinic going to a mid-table Italian team or the Middle East.
