Nacer Chadli has been linked to a loan move to Swansea City, which Tim Sherwood has denied, though various media outlets insist that Swansea is still trying to make the move happen. Wales Online managed to get in contact with one of Chadli's representatives, and they had a lot to say about Chadli's future. Here are the quotes, from Wales Online's transfer deadline day live blog.
"It's a hectic day so it is difficult for him to take the decision. Swansea is interesting because he could play number 10 but Nacer would prefer to stay with Tottenham. There are a lot of clubs who want to take him on loan - in Germany, Holland and Belgium. Olympiakos have also said they are interested. Swansea would be the best option for him because he would like to stay in the Premier League. But he has only been playing at this level for a few months and if he can stay at Spurs I'm sure he will become somebody."
I tend to agree with Chadli's agent. I think that he can get first team football at Spurs and establish himself as an important player, but if he's going to leave on loan, he should go to a Premier League club. Obviously, one that plays an attractive style of football is preferable, and it's nice that he'd get opportunities to play as both an attacking midfielder and winger at Swansea.
I'm not sure anything will come of this, but a Premier League loan would definitely be better than a move elsewhere.
